We work with Glasgow Caledonian University to support students studying the Personal Mortgage Lending Theory and Practice module at the Glasgow School for Business and Society.
Scottish Building Society Award
The student with the highest marks in the Mortgage Lending Theory and Practice module is presented with the Scottish Building Society Award and £100 prize money.
The award winner in 2023/24 was Andrew Stevenson, pictured here with our Chief Risk Officer, Derek Johnston.
Guest Lectures
Scottish Building Society CEO, Paul Denton visited Glasgow Caledonian University to give students valuable insight into working in financial services and to present an award to top student, Sayfaan.
Scottish Building Society Award & Prize Money
The student with the highest marks in the Mortgage Lending Theory and Practice module is presented with the Scottish Building Society Award and £100 prize money.
The winner of the prize in 2022/23 was Safyaan Latif. Safyaan is currently a final year student on the BA/BA (Hons) Finance, Investment and Risk programme.
We previously ran this award in 2021.
The winner of our 2021 award for having the highest marks in Mortgage Lending Theory and Practice module award went to Ashley McSorley.
As well as the award, Ashley won a £100 cash prize.
